Beads to Make Yourself
A recent New York Times article is about beads you can make yourself. The article expands on the idea of making paper beads using your newspaper as material. It’s a similar approach to what I described in my recent blog post about my son David’s handmade paper bead necklace.
The Times article also includes some patterns for creating beads in different shapes using your newspaper for material. There’s a list what you’ll need from start to finish.

I hope that you’ll enjoy reading the Times article and making some new beads from the patterns. Remember, you can also use wrapping paper or paper you’ve colored yourself, too.
