Fashion Color Trends for Spring 2016

Tired of winter? I sure am, so let’s talk about what’s coming this Spring. Pantone sets color palettes for everything from home furnishing to apparel and more. The colors for Spring 2016 are softer tones – calm, serene blue and green hues that take use to wide open spaces – combined with brighter more vivid hues that really Pop!

Rose Quartz is a gentle pink tone like flushed cheek or budding flower,

We’ve been in love with orange for several seasons. This Spring the orange hue is Peach Echo,

Serenity is a comforting blue with a calming effect, bringing a feeling of respite even in turbulent times. A transcendent blue, Serenity provides us with a sense of blue sky, of space space.

Snorkel Blue is maritime-inspired blue

While the majority of the Spring/Summer palette trends toward calmness, a few diversions from the theme emerge that offer a contrast. Buttercup, a wonderful yellow shade, calls us to a happier, sunnier place.

Limpet Shell is a tranquil aqua hue that leans toward green. It’s clear and clean.

Lilac Gray adds a distinctive lavender edge to this classic gray shade.

Fiesta a high energy, fiery, yellow-based red, that provides definite contrast with the softer tones of this season’s palette.

Iced Coffee is a strong neutral that has a natural earthy quality. There’s a softness and subtlety to this hue that creates a stable foundation for the rest of this season’s palette.

Green Flash is a brilliant grassy green that evokes our irresistible desire to explore.

 

Gold and silver jewelry will compliment a wardrobe in the new spring colors, but there are lots of gemstone pieces you can choose, too.  Pearls, citrine, and peridot are all great possibilities that echo the fashion colors and rose quartz is a natural.
