Feeding the Birds

Ever since we moved, I’ve enjoyed feeding the birds.   This was something I haven’t been able to do for several years and resuming my bird watching and feeding has been a lot of fun.   We had lots of hummingbirds at the feeders this summer and fall, and there’s still one little guy who keeps showing up.   It seems like it’s pretty late in the  season for him, but just when I think he’s finally left town, there he is again!

Our latest visitor at the feeders is a Steller’s Jay.   This is a new bird to me – I have never seen one until now.   Here’s a link to photo of the Steller’s Jay and his east coast blue jay relative.
