I’m Glad to be Back!

About three weeks ago I suffered a computer meltdown that has left me very thankful to have an iPad2!  The iPad has let me keep up with almost everything, but doing blogs and websites has been difficult because of photos that aren’t on the iPad.   I will take steps to correct that with an eye to potential future problems.   At any rate the computer is back home again and appears to be working OK.

I have a lot of updating to do at www.dianakirkpatrick.com and also in my Etsy store at www.dianakirkpatrickart.etsy.com and I’ll try to get that done asap!   I have a number of terrific Vintage items that I have to photograph in order to list them, including a 7 strand light green ball chain necklace from the 1940s.

In the meantime I’ve been trying to enjoy settling into my new home.   There are lots of birds around and I’ve been researching what various birds eat and what type of feeders they like.   The birds I’ve seen so far include tohees, chickadees, tufted titmice, blue jays, rufus hummingbirds, house finches, and a few others.   We also have a trio of little chipmunks to complete our menagerie.

The rufus hummingbird is one feisty critter!   They lay claim to the feeders and won’t let any other hummers feed.   Chickadees and titmice seem inclined to squabble, too!   At any rate I’m having a great adventure with all of this and really enjoying a bird book a friend gave me.
