Native American Cherokee Paua Shell and Sterling Necklace and Long Earrings Vintage
The beautiful silver necklace has a paua shell set in sterling silver leaves. The lightweight necklace is very easy to wear and is about 20 inches long. The pendant is marked Sterling on the back – the necklace closes with a spring catch. The dangle earrings are 2.5 inches long with sterling silver ear wires. Each earring is marked Sterling and Cherokee on the back. The necklace and earrings are set with beautiful Paua shell cabochons that are iridescent blue and green.
This set is dressy enough to go from daytime to evening wear. These pieces would make a fabulous gift for someone special in the event you decided not to wear it yourself. This is a set from my own collection. It was made by Cherokee Indians in the Tahlequah, Oklahoma area and dates from the 1970s
